Currently, Tribeca portion of Hudson River Park is under reconstruction, with a completion date in 2008.
Pier 26 will be fully rebuilt and extended to cover its original footprint. It will continue to have a boathouse and boat launch for non-motorized boats. The Pier will also be home to an estuarium – a Hudson River education and research center – with interpretive science exhibits, a science garden and classroom space. A restaurant will also be located here to serve park patrons.
